The main villa features three generous living spaces at the ground floor (a living room with a large fireplace, a dining room and a kitchen) and three suites at the first floor (a Master Suite with a panoramic terrace and a private bathroom, a Family Suite with two bedrooms and a bathroom, a “Travel Bedroom” with jacuzzi and private toilet).

The “Scuderia” is an independent, air conditioned and fully equipped unit that offers a bedroom with fireplace, a living area, a bathroom and a kitchen.

The complex is surrounded on three sides by lawns with flowers, olive and fruit trees and a vegetable garden. All the rooms at the ground floor open on the gardens.

Three pergolas provide cool shelter in the day in the front and in the back gardens. 

The pool overlooking the hills is surrounded by olive trees, lavender and roses: it is a cozy corner to relax after a day of sightseeing and shopping. 

The villa was most probably a watch tower than a hunting lodge that belonged in the 16th century to noble Florentine families: the Strozzi and Cavalcanti, it was later attached to the estate of the Florence hospital of Santa Maria Nuova, then was again in the hands of the Strozzi and lately Della Stufa families.  

The old building was restored preserving the structure and some details from the Renaissance while adding contemporary comfort such as private bathrooms and air conditioning in the barn; the interiors are decorated with antique and contemporary furniture. 

The renovation was directed by architect and artist Maria Cristina Finucci.

Maria Cristina is today regarded as one of the most representative, contemporary Italian artists: she is among the 21 leading modern authors present in the permanent collection of the Quirinale presidential palace in Roma, side by side to masters such as Fontana, De Chirico, Manzù, Burri, Boetti, Marini and Guttuso.
